The AI OCR system is designed to replace the long-standing manual workflow used by consultants, brokers, and back-office staff when processing insurance documents. The previous platform relied heavily on manual data entry, causing delays, inconsistencies, and high operational effort. This 0 to 1 project focuses on building the workflow from the ground up—optimizing task flow, enhancing data visibility, and integrating AI extraction to significantly reduce repetitive input. Within just two months of launching Phase I, overall operational efficiency has been increased by 40%+.

Consolidated Processing Framework
All scanned policy documents from agents and brokers are funneled into a unified processing view. Each doc type shows a clear status progression: outlined tags for received but not OCR-processed, filled gray for OCR-completed, and green for manually verified. Once all required documents are verified, the case can be submitted to the core system. This streamlined flow reduces fragmentation, clarifies responsibilities, and accelerates overall processing.
AI-Assisted Verification workspace
When a document is selected, the system displays a dual-pane review workspace: the original PDF on the left, and AI-extracted structured fields on the right. Clicking any field automatically positions and highlights the corresponding area on the physical form, enabling precise, one-to-one comparison without manually hunting through dense PDFs. Users can also freely drag, scroll, and zoom within either pane, allowing flexible inspection of large or complex documents.
End-to-End Traceability
Each case maintains its own document audit log and policy activity log, capturing extraction results, edits, status changes, and submission records. This improves collaboration between internal teams and ensures that all decisions and modifications remain auditable—critical for insurance compliance and post-review processes.
